Spicy cauliflower
Spicy cauliflower is packed with flavour and texture and can be prepared in only a few minutes. This easy vegetable recipe makes a tasty side dish or appetiser.

300 g Cauliflower 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning or alternative seasoning
Slice the cauliflower to a thickness of around 1cm (about ⅓") and place on a metal baking sheet.
Drizzle a little olive oil and sprinkle Cajun seasoning on each slice of cauliflower.
Roast in a hot oven for about 5 minutes.
Turn each slice of cauliflower over. Drizzle the second side with olive oil and add Cajun seasoning and return to the oven until cooked.
Tips
Only use fresh cauliflower. Cauliflower which has been frozen will be far too soft and will not have a good texture.
All parts of the cauliflower florets can be used, both the larger slices and the smaller pieces which are left after slicing the florets.
Roast cauliflower is delicious served hot as an accompaniment to many main dishes but can also be served cold. It makes a tasty addition to salads.
The cauliflower steaks can be reheated if needed.
This cauliflower dish is not suitable for freezing.
