Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground fennel
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoons ground star anise
  • 1 teaspoon ground Szechuan pepper or black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Whole spices - if you are using any whole spices, toast in a skillet and then grind using a spice grinder or pestle and mortar before mixing.
  • Mix - Measure the ground spices into a bowl and mix.
  • Store - transfer to a clean, dry jar to store.
