Crumble topping is a sweet, crunchy and buttery mix which makes a perfect topping for fruit crumble and can be prepared in minutes. It can also be used to make crumble cake bars or for a topping for tarts.
Place the flour and butter into a bowl. Cut the butter into small pieces an rub into the flour by hand. Alternatively you can do this in a food processor or using a pastry blender.
Add the sugar and mix.
Chill the crumble mix until you are ready to use it.
