- 3 avocados
- 125 g cocoa powder
- 45 g honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Scoop out the insides of the avocados and place in a food processor.
Add the cocoa powder, honey and vanilla extract and and pulse until mixed to an even consistency.
Check for taste and add a little more honey to suit you taste.
Spoon into small glasses, bowls or espresso cups and chill before serving.

- Store in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.
To serve
- This chocolate mousse is delicious served on its own.
- Or you could add a spoonful of red berries.
- Or a dollop of whipped cream.
- Use as a quick and easy frosting for cakes or muffins.
- Or you could use as a topping for a cheesecake style dessert in place of cheesecake cream.
Tips
- Heat the spoon in a jug of hot water before measuring the honey so that it slides easily off the spoon.
- To make a vegan chocolate mousse substitute a plant based sweetener such a maple syrup in place of honey.
