Molten chocolate mug cake is a fudgy chocolate cake with a gooey centre which can be prepared and cooked in minutes. The ingredients for this single serving dessert are mixed in a mug and cooked in a microwave. All you need is a mug, a spoon and a few basic ingredients.
Measure the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and sugar into the mug and mix.
Add the milk, olive oil and vanilla extract and mix until there are no lumps or pockets of dry ingredients and the batter is smooth.
Place the chocolate squares into the centre of the cake mix making sure they are covered by the mixture.
Microwave at 750 Watts for 60 seconds and then check. The mug cake is ready when the surface is firm but still wet on the surface (the cake will continue to cook after removing it from the microwave). If the cake is not ready, return to the microwave for a further 10 seconds and check again.
