Desserts using nuts
Ground almonds are one of my favourite baking ingredients. I use it for frangipane based cakes and tarts including almond slices, iced Bakewell tarts, cherry and almond traybake and lemon drizzle cake. Add chopped walnuts to shortbread biscuits, make a chocolate salami as a gift or make this beautifully coloured pistachio frangipane.
